> Shadow : e.g. Sascha, Avril – Shadows are bloodthirsty creatures that are trained for assassination. They have almost no or sometimes no presence and mind-thumbprint which makes them perfect for this job. Another very practical skill is the shadow presence. The shadow becomes completely transparent, the sounds of body functions become soundless and the shadow moves slightly faster if on shadows.
If shadows don't kill, or at least injure, someone in a longer period of time, they go into bloodthrall. Once in bloodthrall, there is no stopping the shadow unless he or she kills to her hearts content. If there is no other object to kill, they kill themselves.
There is another very dangerous stance they can get into. It has no name, but it occurs, when the shadow is enraged to a very high level. Then the shadow turns completely black, except of the eyes, which take on the colour of blood.
Sometimes, the shadow mastermind takes the life or mind of a shadow.

> Shapeshifter : e.g Aino, Thea Cara – They can take on every human body they like. They also have a translucent body that has only one colour.
> Nighthunter : e.g. Kieran Dion – They can attach their own soul to the soul of other living beings and control them like this. They can also take the souls of these beings completely. After gathering them, they can also give them to another being. They often take on jobs in which they have to gather souls.
> Soulkeeper: e.g. Ellie - Counterpart to the Nighthunter species. They Also have the Power to gather souls, but they can't take them from living being, except of Nighthunters. They gather souls to protect them. They do not take the soul's powers as do the Nighthunters. They do not have to gather them to protect these souls.

As a phantom they can switch between ghotsform, where they have no solid body at all, a medium form, which does not have a solid body but can touch things and feel things, and the human form, in which he or she is as close to a human as he or she could be.
